Default Lug Nut Size Question

Hey this might be a stupid question but I tried to find just a truck tire iron at the local advanced auto and it wouldn't fit my 99 DI the biggest size on the tire iron was a 1 1/16. My question is what is the size of the lug nuts? I am looking not for just a socket size to buy for it? Any help is awesome thanks

27mm, unless someone has buggered up the SS caps.
I'd get a deep socket as that allows enough room to use your torque wrench to clear the tire without using an extension.
For in the car I use a 1/2" drive 27mm deep socket and Craftsman 18" flex head ratchet.

1 1/16 is the correct size for a DI, until they get screwed up.

FWIW, I just picked up a 1 1/16" impact socket and it's a very very very tight fit. Had to tap the socket on to get it fit over the factory loosey goosey crappy plastic cover things. I dont have a 27mm, but given my experience with the 1-1/16 and it's a GB truck, I'd go 27mm before 1-1/16"
