Really happy with how mine turned out, used a large amount of jb weld and piled on some barbells while it dried.

Ok, So i have jumped on this band wagon with this mod for my Disco.
I have looked over this thread and noticed that there have been some issues with some of you guys and having the wire mesh sticking to the grill. I have tried a different approach to this and it seems to work pretty good.

Once I had the center section removed from the grill, I scuffed the inside of the grill with a scotch brite pad...

This should provide a better surface for the epoxy to bond to...

I made "backing" pieces to sandwich the wire mesh with the epoxy....

Scuffed all of the pieces to provide better "tooth" for the epoxy to bond to...

I ran out of epoxy before i had a chance to finish up the bottom part of the grill. So far so good. This epoxy works better with plastic parts so having two grill parts bonding the wire mesh in between should hold better......time will tell.

I will post more once I have the emblem on and the grill mounted back on the Disco.

That looks great! What did you use to bend the lower part to fit into the grille?

It was part of the gutter guard and how it was made to snap into the gutter. I just used a duckbill vise grip to bend it out to fit the contour of the lower part of the grill.

I did pretty much the same thing as Nitrojunkie accept at the very ends the mesh was bent at 90 degree and I have two pop rivets on each side along with the epoxy, works pretty well.

So is the verdict that this helps noticeably with your cooling? Or do you just like the way it looks? I like the looks of these for sure.
