Default mil light

97 D1 113;500mi, i've owned this truck for 25yrs never had the mil light go on,recently have had health issues and haven't been able to drive,my horn went off so i pulled the fuse, after charging when i go to lock and turn alarm on the light goes on,is it possible by pulling the fuse that is why it goes on and if i lock and light blinks is it ok to leave so at least it will be safe

We're talking the Maintenance Required Light correct and not the Check Engine Light correct? If so you can simply remove the brown relay behind the passenger footwell kick panel. It's only there to make LR Dealers $$$. Remove it and forget about it.

it's the brown light problem is when on you can't start car,in this car i was always told multifunction indicator light,if i lock truck it blinks do you think it's ok to leave blinking since vehicle would be locked and do you think that by removing the horn fuse is the reason

are you sure all the doors are locking when you lock the D1?

i had the same issue years ago on my '96 Discovery and it was a lazy lock actuator that was not locking the rear, driver's side door. this would set off the alarm every time. horn honking and alarm light blinking.
