Motor Mount Help
I just replaced the 2 original mounts holding my engine. They were old and decayed. I used new All-Makes4x4 mounts. To nobody’s surprise, they’re crap. One of the bolts started turning INSIDE of the rubber mount when I tightened the nut. I’m sure they won’t last long. My car vibrates less, but I can still feel the engine being thrown around on acceleration.
Can anyone recommend a good quality mount? Allmakes is basically the only brand that comes up for me. I’ve heard of people using Jaguar v12 mounts on here, but those are difficult to find, and more pricey. I’d prefer mounts with the bolt going straight-through the rubber, if that exists. Does anyone use poly mounts?
ALSO, what is the best way to jack up the engine? With all the tie-rods and differential in the way I could only jack mine up from the oil pan with a 2x4 in between (shame on me, I know). It sounded like I was going to snap my exhaust manifolds off when lifting, and I could still only BARELY get the new mounts in with a hammer.

Put the Jag mounts in a couple years ago when I had the engine out. A year before that I put in some of the "correct" ones by one of the cheapy brands. Kinda garbage. Jacked one side up at a time to install those.
When engine was out, I did notice that things didn't quite line up on the engine & frame. Ended up having to loosen the transfer box mounting brackets at the frame. They are slotted. Gently scooted the transfer/trans/engine assy. with a 10 lb sledge hammer until motor mounts line up.
Picture is of the cheapy mounts that were on there for only a year-ish.
