It came out of the garage today. For the first time since September I actually got to drive it. Suspension is waaaaay more firm with the new shocks and springs. I'm OK with it. Plus I haven't mounted my roof rack yet. I did go to pick it up today. Plus my ladder for the rear door and some halogen off road lights.

Lift is about half done. No way its fitting out of the garage. Gonna have to take the wheels off or flat tires.
Looks great! I wish i had the patience to clean everything like that! My swivels and diffs swap fluid too, except I didn't bother rebuilding. I just cleaned out the grease as best I could when I installed my front TT with 4.12s and RoverTracks axles and CVs and now I just run 85-140 gear oil from hub to hub.

I honestly wonder if that's better. Then who cares about the seals. I only did it because everyone seems to be all about the one shot stuff.

IMHO heavy oil will lubricate much better than a paste like grease. Not that their is anything wrong with one shots, but I wasnt about to pull my whole front end apart to be able to use it. Plus, in the words of PT Schram, "if its good enough for a Series truck its good enough for a Disco"

I got my rack and lights mounted today. Changed two heater hoses. Drove it again today. Did great except for the clip holding the rod to the shifter handle broke. Any one know where I can get one? Maybe even a part number? Name: 2013-12-21221148_zpsfe37195a.jpg

Well.....life has a way of throwing us curveballs...I was forced to sell my truck and everything I bought for it during some bs family issues during the holidays. I needed a large some of cash quick and I had a buyer within the hour of posting. The above pic is the first and only time I ever took it off road. A few hours of bliss from 5 months of work building it. It did great. Zero flaws. No hiccups. Don't know if I'll get another. Hours and hours and hours of work sweat and blood. Lame.
