Default Mystery wire.

I have found a mystery wire, and on an English vehicle, that ain't good.

I believe it goes to the back of the alternator.

will post a pic in a few.

It's a brown/black wire with a captive nut attached to it.

It doesn't seem to affect charging. 13.96 volts at idle, with the headlamps and heater on.

any ideas?

It goes to the back of the alt.
You should find a empty stud back there.
10mm nut if I remember right.
