Default Name That Part

Hi All, please see the attached pictures. That yellowish T-shaped plug in the picture is now missing and I'm wondering what it was for. I don't think it is a vacuum hose because I checked while the engine was running.

Does anyone know what it is called and what it is for and where do I go to get another one?

cruise control vacuum line. the line that goes into the fire wall is for the brake vacuum valve. one side will go to the pump behind and below drivers headlight other to the rubber diaphragm next to throttle linkage

Thanks but how am I being affected by that piece missing? And is that affecting my brake performance at all?

No it will not affect anything other than your cruise control. It is a stand alone system and will not effect anything on you Rover.

What problems are you having with your brakes?

Zero effect on brake performance. The cruise control draws vacuum from an electric pump.

One end of the Tee goes to the CC actuator ( at the intake ) looks like > Cruise Control Actuator For Land Rover - Genuine Part /

The other end to the vac pump looks like > Cruise Control Vacuum Pump (PRC6260 Same Fit As Part # PRC6260 ) - Land Rover switches/control unit/actuators from Atlantic British

The middle hose goes to the CC brake switch located above the brake light switch on front of the brake pedal. looks like this > Switch Cruise - Control - Brake (Genuine Part # ERR2622 ) - Land Rover switches/control unit/actuators from Atlantic British

OK. The brake pedal shakes sometimes and whenever I fill the reservoir to its max level it always leaks down to the minimum level almost to the exact spot everytime. I see the brake fluid puddle next to the driver-side front tire so I still have to get it up on a lift to see what is leaking.

When the brake pedal shakes the ABS light goes out and then comes back on in 15 - 30 minutes..

As for the leak it could be a pen hole in the line but i would put my money on the caliper. I had the same thing and just replaced both front ones. Do a complete fluid flush after the replacement.

for the shaking try pulling the fuse for the ABS and see what that does. I wonder if you have a wheel speed sensor problem or a pump issue. The fuse is #5 30 amp under the hood.

You''ll need to buy a really tiny comode from Home Depot, hook it up to your breakline, and then flush the comode. Works everytime.
