I'm going to hope it's not bent. Not sure how much force would need to be applied to bend it, but it does go from high to neutral and back. I'll get it rolling tonight and report back. Just got the PB Blaster at autozone and I'll coat the linkageg with it a few times prior.. Tweakrover, I would guess the solnoid is working as it doesn't move if the transmission is not in neutral. thanks all.

If you got that much rust, I would think that is a major part of shifter linkage problem.

Can you shoot some pics while it is open if it is still open?

Missed this last. Sorry Danny. Hit it with the PB Blaster then sealed it up. I figure I have high and can lock that. I should be good. I will drive it to work tomorrow and check to see if low works or not and report back. On a side note, all four windows work now. Sweet! It's the little things. Guessing low works on the roll also. Watch, the truck won't start tomorrow LOL!

New spokesmen for PB Blaster right here. Between that and the anti seize lubricant applied to the base of the stick it came unstuck. Rolled right into low from high and back this am on a slow roll. No problem. Thanks again everyone!

Cool, glad to hear you got it, keep spraying it and shifting in and out every few days for a while to keep it loose.
