Default John Carlson Disco 1 journey

I plan to take a lot of pictures and ask advice/opinions from this group. As you can see from the pics below, the oil looks good, the spark plugs were up in the .04 range, so the new one I put in will be gapped better. Other issue i am having is getting the key out of the ignition, what exactly needs to be done to release the solenoid? I have it in park, does the hood need to be down? Transfer case in gear?

key needs to be pushed in and then slides out. I have gotten used to it. There is a pin that keeps from removing it if you are not in park. Plugs don't look too bad.

looks like you need those plastic parts on the headlight

I am up in Red Wing if that helps..

The keys get stuck in the ignition due to worn tumblers in the ignition barrel.

Default Bracket

How do you move this bracket to get off the passenger side cover?

Give it another look over, there should be a screw holding it in place.

I ended up bending the tab up. Found that info on a youtube video. next question, is there no gasket between the intake and intake manifold? I got a plenum gasket at orielly's, I just don't see where it goes.
