How difficult is it to bypass the immobilizer? The 98 DI is a 50th anniverary edition. Does that mean it has anything special? I mean anything as far as performance.

Laugh our mother trucking loud!!

No, all it means is special badging, floor mats and decals.
The carpet in the cargo area should be embroidered with the 50th logo.
There should be a decal on each rear window.
The immobilizer rarely goes bad.

These trucks weigh 4500lbs, are shaped like a brick and have a whopping 180 horse power.
You cannot say performance and Rover in the same sentence.

Sorry about the performance thing. So if there is a shifter foward of the transmission gear shifter it has a CDL or is this just to select HI and LO range?

top left locked low/top right low

I'm just giving you a hard time is all.
All Land Rovers will have the shifter in front of the gear shift.
They are full time four wheel drive trucks, NOT part time like a Jeep or Chevy and NOT all wheel drive like a Subaru.
