no start
So maybe it is not getting enough fuel if it only sputters. I would try to measure fuel pressure, then replace the fuel pump if the pressure is low.
Workshop manual shows checking pressure at the fuel filter (behind RR tire). Good opportunity to replace the fuel filter. I might try to measure by disconnecting the fuel rail supply tube. Newer models have a schrader valve built in to the fuel rail that makes it easy to check pressure. I installed a fuel rail from a '96 onto my '94 for that reason.
