Default No turn indicator ?

The other day I was on my way to school when i went to signal my lane change, but nothing no relay click, no turn indicator light nothing. The 4 way flasher work so I'm thinking a relay gave up the ghost, but wanted some input.

Thanks Collin.

are the hazards and turns on the same relay? I know on most german cars they are. If the hazards and turns are on the same relay and you can hear the relay click when you turn on the hazards then im betting your turn signal stalk has decided to give up the ghost. Quick functional test would be to look at the wiring diagram and see which wire are for the turn signal and then pull the plug for the flasher and use whatever method you like to bridge the supply wire to the left and the right circuit respectively. If they flash using that method then you can take the other end of the plug and test for continuity on the switch itself.

time for the RAVE electrical troubleshooting manual (not workshop manual) - and find an ARRL member to walk you through it.

The ETM and a test light are your friends.
If you don't have a test light, you should.
Start with making sure the switch is getting power and head in the appropriate direction as required.

If you aspire to build QRP to kilowatt rigs, you'll soon master the skill of reading a schematic. Basically just a road map - connect the dots.

It is most like the turn stalk switch. If it turns out to be, try Will Tillery (45 bucks for mine delivered) or Paul Grant.

You can read it with an ohmmeter. It is easy to change also.

1995 disco 1:
All turn signals work, trailer indicator comes on once (as designed) but the single turn signal indicator does not light up (fails inspection).
New flasher relay (lower black unit).

Hazards flash quick AND no light out side but he dash indicator works (this seems to be on a different circuit in the H section of the etm.

Checked continuity from the fuse block connector to the inst. panel connector.

Light bulb OK.

Very low voltage on activation of turn signal.

Was suspicious of a ground problem but ground for trailer indicator is on the same trace.

Note that the 12 V to trailer indicator Stays on!

Any ideas (considering a used inst. panel.

Have you tried replacing the flashers? They are cheap

Do you have a trailer harness? I have noticed people mount them under the body and they rott out, easy short there. that's why mine is mounted inside, I do have intermittent problems with the bumper turn sign sockets but I also swim my rover

I also noticed cleaning grounds fixed a lot of my issues also add some grounds, could be a simple fix

It's probably the light stalk. Take it apart and clean all the contacts. It worked for me...
