Default Non-AC Serpentine Belt

Those who wish to remove the air conditioning system from a 4.0 V8 Discovery will need a non-AC serpentine belt. This can be difficult to find so I've compiled my research below.

The part # is ERR6191. It's manufactured by Dayco with the part # 7PK1853 and is available from Rock Auto for $20.

Dayco 7PK1855 will also work. Cross reference: 07-09 BMW 335i, 135i

Model # means 7(# of ribs)P(Poly-V)K(?)1853(length in mm)

EDIT: The D1 tensioner must also be replaced with a D2 tensioner.

While I'm not ready to give up AC just yet in my opposite corner of the country, what kind of MPG change did you see?

Yes, but you are correct, this is valuable info to those that might find themselves stranded with siezed AC clutch. We should have a sticky with various belts like this, and the ACS bypass for the D2, etc. Good work.

The a/c does not come on when you turn the defroster on in the DI, you must turn the a/c on.

All parts places have cross over charts for any belt number so pick which one you want to use and give them the Dayco number.

Hi, AZLandy. I was failry confident the belt was all that was required, but a dweb member suggested there was more to it. I never followed up with him though. I'm going to find out what else is involved.
