Question, if my catalytic converter is shot (possibly) should i be changing O2 before replacing the catalytic converter, or refrain until that is taken care of? I just don't want to spend on the catalytic now, but was thinking of doing O2 for now, not sure if that makes any sense

Replace the upstream O2 sensors, and once you replace the catalytic converters replace the downstream O2 sensors.
