Default OBD port mounting

I'm running into a weird problem. I suspect that when I had my 1997 Disco I inspected, the fellas in the garage were a bit to rough on the OBD port. It is now just flopping around and I inadvertently pushed the port under the facia (which I will now need to remove to retrieve the port...no biggie but annoying nonetheless). And gladly it all functions as it should.

How is the OBD port mounted to the underside of the facia under the fusebox door? What holds it in place in order to connect to it? Is there a mounting bracket? Anybody got a picture of it before I rip into it?

Thanks!

I had the same problem when I bought my D1.
The obd port on my 97 used the same lower fascia as on a d2. I installed the one from my parts truck and clipped in the obd port. It just clips into the plastic with no other mount points, or at least that's how it works on my 97. I'll take a pic in a short while once I'm back at the car.

I had the same problem, I took JB weld and put it around the connector put masking tape to hold it in place as it cured. then i ran self tapping screws in from the top and bottom that just barley touched the connector. after that i built up a larger area around the connector with more JB weld. Has held for a few years now.

It mounts into a bullsh*t plastic trim piece. The folks at my local emissions testing joint failed me because they couldn't test it because the "plug wasn't secured".
I made a mounting bracket with a Dremel.

Thank you all! Saved me a bunch of time investigating and problem solving.
