OBD 2 Port no working

Just quick question,I plug in a OBD2 scanner and it has no power when i plug it in, fuses are good, is there something else to check, or a standard obd2 scanner will not work. Thanks...

I would try another scanner, or go by an auto parts store and ask them to scan your codes.
