Default Obd1 code reading

I have a 94 which we all know has obd1, it has a digital display under the passenger seat for the 2 digit codes it uses. Is there any other info that can be gained from a scangauge tool that the codes won't tell me. I hear you obd2 guys always talking about engine temps and stuff, does obd1 carry that capability.

obd one wont do squat. other then cleaning out your radiator and heater core with a hose and installing a new thermostat then you are fine. if you cleaned out everything and it still overheats then look at a fan clutch.

Go on to , http://www.canobd2.com/Products/Tools.aspx , if you search you will find an OBD2 that also will work with OBD1's. If you like the idea, then go to Amazon.com and find the same scanner on sale for around $150 or so that will handle OBD1 and 2's.

??? I didn't say anything about my truck overheating, I just want to know if I can get any more info from a scanner that I can't get just reading the digital display I already have.
