Thanks for all the great feedback.
Walt, I had heard there was some potential issues with the iPhone regarding bluetooth connectivity and that wireless was the preferred method. However, it isn't prohibited from it working at all if I'm correct. The ultra gauge bluetooth model specifically lists the iPhone as compatible. But as you said, there are wireless options available.
Is Torque/Torque pro available for iPhone? Preliminary search didn't show anything.

I have limited understanding of the matter, but what I've come to understand is that Apple doesn't support certain Bluetooth protocols used by some dongles. I cannot say whether or not any specific system would work on an iphone outside of what I use. To the best of my knowledge, Torque has not released a iPhone version.
OBD Fusion may not be quite as 'jazzy' as Torque, but it is close and works well. I'd have no problem recommending it.

Fish, is this the type of adapter you are using. Just add the Pro Torque app?

That's the exact one I just bought. I have an older slightly larger version I keep and run in my Disco. The one you linked works perfect as well and it's smaller. The reason I bought a new one is because the partition between the rows of pins on the old one was ever so slightly thicker than the new smaller one. It was just thick enough so it wouldn't fit in my '15 Honda Odyssey.
Get the one you linked and you'll be good to go!
