Also, the stock suspension could be nearing the end of its natural life after 16 years of use. So its a perfect time to install a lift if you need new suspension anyway.

People also cut off that entire cover and weld on a sewer cap that's been tapped with a fill plug.
Fish is more referring to the big *** dent in the middle and that's a back rear so it backed into something hard, that center is thin sheet metal

Looks like a great deal. Good luck with 4WheelParts though. Both myself and Ian have found out they can be little bitches and don't have great customer service.
Since you have a 98 an Ultragauge would be at the top of my list. Crawling through traffic and off roading are the times my truck runs the hottest. You need to watch the temps on these trucks carefully.
Also it might sound stupid but aim your headlights. Use a wall or garage door. If you find your self out there in the dark and your lights are all pointed ****- Zu style, it's a real pain.
Basic recovery strap incase you get stuck and need a yank out. Charged cell phone.
