Default disco 2 trip prep

Well, I'm resuming a 4,200 mile journey in the rover with everything i own. I've already made it from north carolina to Texas where i stopped for a while. The rest of the journey will take me to Seattle WA.

I've got motor oil and oil filter. and antifreeze on hand as well as a good jack, and common tools (including recovery equip
). i've greased my freshly rebuilt front driveshaft. serviced tranny and front brake pads. Its got fresh oil and fresh tires.

WHAT AM I FORGETTING!? I'd love some insight from you land rover sages out there.

hahaha, yeah, i'm usually very very cautious about filling up slightly more often than required, but I guess I could get a couple gallons in.

Maybe a spare serp belt, light bulbs and fuses - those odd things that go when you least expect it.

My Rover mechanic friend always tells me to make sure I have some Transmission fluid and gear oil for the transfer case too. (Don't forget a pump so you can get these fluids from the bottle into the truck too.)

i wouldnt worry about fuses and bulbs as much but you should be carrying a spare crank position sensor.

A bottle of DOT4 Brake fluid. It's small and can make a differance if you develop a leak.

brake fluids going on the list now, serp belt also. SPARE CRANK POSITION SENSOR!? I've got some reading to do. I've got spares for the bulbs and a few fuses. on the back because i have cracked the plastic lenses on trees and things and now they get wet on occasion, i'm about 1/2 through converting it all to soldered-on led arrays.

COMPRESSOR!!!! Anyone have good recommendations on one? i almost bought one of the emergency jump/compressor units today but couldn't stomach the $60 for what looked cheap.

i splurged today and bought a new tow strap, got a good chain (not cannibalized!), an extra clevice, snatchblock, repainted a free highlift and put it in the truck , and got a little shovel.
