Oil Change and Belt squeak
Well, finally got around to changing the oil for the first time. Used a Wix oil filter, Liqui-Moly 10-40, and found an old new stock crush washer in my collection.
Man that oil was dirty.....from being under there, the steering box is really leaking and might be combination crank seal. After I change the fuel filter tomorrow morning, going to clean the entire area under the engine.
...man that's going to be friggin' dirty job....
Oil change done....started the car to get the oil circulated, then looked for that squeak around the belt assembly. Stopped the engine, chkd the oil, and lubed the tension pulley. Started it up again, squeak still there. I then grabbed my water bottle and sprayed the faces of the belt, squeak stopped. Checked belt alignment, good. Then looked at the belt configuration. It was off, belt mis-routed. Routed the belt correctly around the alternator and steering pump, then started it up. No more squeak!!!!
Sweet! Two more off the "SHEIT" list!

Lovin' it! I just hope the brake job goes smoothly next weekend. Going to buy the socket today....part of the plan.
