Default Oil light after sustained high rpms

So when me 98 d1 is all warm n cuddly and I've been out beatin on her doin figure 8's in the snow or spinning tires in the mud, I'll get a few flickers of that red oil can on the dash. But only after she's back down to idle and it's been above 4K...5k...well it's been above normal operating range longer than advised. Any thoughts? Besides hey don't do that. Cuz I done did that.

What are your RPM's like when the light flickers? Sometimes after revving real high and letting off the idle will drop below the 600-700 norm. Low idle rpm can produce low oil pressure.

Oil pump or some sort of bearing problem.

Put a bigger oil filter on and switch to a thicker oil to hide the problem for awhile.

Might check under rocker covers and see if oil return holes are clear. Maybe after high RPM the oil is not draining from heads to pan as it should.

Heads were pretty dirty when I opened her up about 5k miles ago. Cleaned everything pretty well but some gunk elsewhere could have come dislodged
