Default Oil pressure gauge installed

Have just finished install of oil pressure gauge and checked operating pressure.

FRAM GOLD Filter, Rotella 15W40

Start cold 41 psig
Idle cold 41 psig
2500 cold 42 psig
Idle hot 20 psig
2500 hot 40 psig
In gear hot 17-19 psig

Are these good operating pressures?

I installed one on mine back in 2008. Your pressures are 1-2psi higher than mine, so I'd say it looks very good. I'm running 10W40 Castrol. What was the ambient. My pressures run slightly higher in the winter, slightly lower in the heat of summer with 10W40. 20W50 gives me better pressure in the summer but horrible pressure in the winter when the engine is cold.

Where did you tap in at, the OEM pressure switch? That's where I tapped in. Made up a "special" tee piece so I could keep the stock idiot light sensor also.

I purchased the sandwich adapter that goes between the oilfilter and block.
Today driving at 3000 rpm 35-37psig when at temperature but when I let up on the gas it increases to 40 psig while coasting. Strange.

Do you have a link to the products you purchased? I'm interested in buying one.
