Yeah I found there is a variety of FJ coils available. Here is some more info on how they are differentiated.

Height/color code/wraps

21" Blue Pink White 9.25 wraps
21" Grey Orange White 9.25 wraps

20.25" Blue Yellow White 8.75 wraps-one of these is a confirmed LX450

19.5" Green Yellow White 8.25 wraps-one of these is a confirmed LX450

19.5" Purple Green White 8 wraps

19.25" Double Purple Dark Blue White 8 wraps

19" Double Pink Light Blue White 7.5 wraps

18.5" Double Pink Grey White 7.5 wraps

18 7/8" Orange Orange White 7.75 wraps

From what we could tell all of the springs use about the same gauge wire. only 2 of these were from an LX450 so the LC and LX have springs in common at some point year like CDan has been saying all along, unfortunately I do not know what year belongs to what color code.

Well upon further inspection mine are the gray orange white and blue pink white 21" 9.25 wrap coils. They are off of a 91 FJ80 Land Cruiser which is accurate according to the color coding. They appear to be the tallest coils of any of the FJ80(91-92) or FZJ80(93-97 I believe). As for how much they will lift a Disco we will just have to wait and see. The curb weight for the Disco and FJ80 is about 600 lbs more than a 4 Runner so I'm going to assume that the 4 Runner guys are getting a fair amount more lift than we will see on the Discos. I'm hoping the taller springs with more wraps lifts it generally the same but just has a stiffer ride with more weight capacity (the FJ80s were all generally the same height with the different springs). Feel free to chime in and correct me if any of my thought process is not accurate because I'm only making educated assumptions until I can get them on the truck.

Hey guys, I'm back!
Sorry I um.. got into a car accident on prom night. So what did I miss? Seems like you guys sorted out the wraps and which springs to get so let me catch up!

Fj80 coils from the front but how many wraps? I normally just use Claire as a DD but I do plan on camping once the summer officially starts.

Dude, suuuckkks about the car accident, but didn't you say you weren't allowed to take claire persuant to a punishment? Could have been worse, could have smashed up your disco you've bene working on so hard. I have my coils, been staring at them for a week and was hoping to throw them in on sunday but wife just told me im not allowed to work on the truck on easter (thats lame). Whatever, maybe i'll do it and rip the head liner out some time next week to catch up. I'm pretty sure mine are the 7.5 wraps. Clearly i painted them after getting all the rust off and priming. Can't wait to get them in

Yeah I was driving my uncle's car.

Yeah I officially get her back at the end of the school year (may 24?)
But I'm still allowed to work on her I guess. Just can't drive

But I was planning on redoing the headliner myself.
I have everything needed:
head liner material, glue, foam board that is attached to the truck atm..

And I even replaced the head unit. All I need to do is add the 4 speakers I bought from pioneer. But I won't lie, having to pay for insurance + gas is taking a toll on my wallet haha. I was seriously thinking of selling Claire to get a 240sx but I thought better of it and decided to buy on as a drift project next year when I'm off to college.

7.5 wraps you say.. Where did you get yours from?

Ok so I threw my coils on. Detailed discussion and photos to come when I get near a computer. But here's a question. When I flipped the spring retainer plates in the back the space between the retainer plates and the retainer bracket that runs along the top of them is now too long for the stock bolts to fit. Do I need these spring retaining plates and have to get longer bolts or can I just leave them off?

Yes, when you flip the spring plates you will need new longer bolts IF you want to keep the spring retainer which I reccomend doing, thats what I did, just some new longer bolts to keep spring in place.
