Default Original radiator made if brass / plastic / aluminium???

I would like to get a new radiator for my 1997 Discovery auto. Land Rover part no ESR3687

Land Rover dealers quote about $2,000... and none of them knows whether I'll get a radiator made of brass / copper, or aluminium, or plastic / aluminium...

Does anyone here know what you get when you order a new radiator from Land Rover?

Originality is my first concern, and I would like a brass / copper radiator, to match the old radiator on my car.

This plastic & aluminum eBay radiator has been keeping my truck running at 182 degrees for two months now...

WOW $2000.00 WTF I'm in the wrong business!!!!!

Any time I do a radiator I try to see if it can be recored first. IMHO the OE tanks & internal oil coolers are far better than anything in the aftermarket. But if the recore is not an option for you call Lucky8 and get (think this is a Nissens)> https://www.lucky8llc.com/products/radiator-1

It looks like a recore in a good radiator shop is the most original solution indeed.

Nissens used to make quality radiators; unfortunately they are made of plastic now.

I did find brass / copper radiators that fit, made in an unknown country by an unknown manufacturer; and they cost about the same as a recore.

Thanks for the tip, FloridaRover; I kniow that I can buy replica radiators under $200; but I do not want a plastic radiator.

Edit: Deleted my previous comment, I was mistaken;

The quote to ROD OUT my original radiator was between $150-$200
(+ I was told that a 20 year old radiator cannot always be salvaged)

The quote to RECORE was in the ballpark of $500

The quote to replace with an OEM Copper / Brass rad was $800 - $900

At $185 with free return shipping the plastic and aluminum rad made sense to try, and I still have my original radiator for a potential rodding or recore in the future.

Regardless of what you do, add a temp gauge!!!
