g'morning... i get truck running and now i can't put it into gear... LOL... anyway gonna check to see if there is a brake switch/wire that is faulty not allowing the automatic gear shift to move... any advise?

Buy the install kit for your new radio, the plastic fascia on the old Discos is super brittle and wont support much. There is a aluminum shelf that the factory radio sets on, but it is screwed to the plastic fascia. You will need a 2.5mm allen to remove the factory radio. Good luck

No, replacement is the only option. You can remove it from its holder with it plugged up and manipulate it with your finger to get the trans out of park, however your brake lights will still be inop.
