97 D1 113500m,when starting first time truck goes right to 0 and difficult to start,once running runs beautiful, it feels like it's either pumping to muck gas or there's no fuel, what can i do to test with few tools

 

Maybe check for fuel pressure at the schrader valve on the fuel rail. Cover with rag, does it squirt out?

Use OBD scanner tool to check for codes and normal parameters. If I only had one tool, it would be a scanner. Just plug it in and it works.

 

thanks,only code i get is p1316,sprayed iacv,tps,changed mass air flow with one i bgt awhile ago,think i'll try the old one ,so if i depress the shrader valve and get gas what else could it be.other than dealer who would have a diagnostic to reset ecu to factory

 

the gems_obd manual in the google drive in my signature might help. P1316 is a misfire code.

I'd replace the fuel filter just to be sure. Other possibles are cats and/or spark plugs. How old are the plugs?

 

about 5yrs already ordered plugs {ngk} and {ngk} wires,just that with 2 mass airflow parts that it occurs with both,.fuel filter has some years but no real miles to speak of. if fuel related i shoud be able to turn key to #1 position a couple of times,will keep all informed

 

cleaned the old maf and it started up easily but i;lll wait until tmorrowto see,but i have plugs,wires,fuel filter so once received will keep all informed,thanks all
