P1317 Rough Road ABS code
I have this fault code P1317 ABS Rough Road signal.
I put an Autologioc on the car and got:
"P1317 ABS Rough Road signal line permanently at ground or open circuit"
Anybody have any ideas how I can fix this? Its throwing a check engine code, so it is hard to get my car smogged. Any insight would help.
It was also suggested by many that this is a problem with my "PROM"(Programmable Read Only Memory?).
If it is a PROM issue, can the Autologic fix the programming?
Thanks

The Autologic can do a flash update if you have a newer bin file loaded into it which would help the motor tune. I also believe you can access a portion of the ABS which is where your fault lies (in conjunction with the VSS) but a circuit to ground isn't a software issue nor software fixable. Follow the write-up and see what you get on the ABS sensors.

You have to load the bin file onto the Autologic. Google search for the newest GEMS bin file, I can't remember where I found it but some site had it. With the Autologic it's an ECM update, it will compare files and load the new bin to your EEPROMS. Your ECM would go into a new born mode after the update and pick up your sensors and what info they're sensing. Bin files have dates in the file name, makes it easy to compare.
