Default PCV Valve and Spark Plug Qestion

Back into a Disco 1 after 10 years without one. Have a few questions from poking around today.

Went to swap out the PCV, the small plastic spiral piece that sits in the passenger side valve cover. Pulled the hose , nothing there. Went over to the drive side with the larger diameter hose connects to the intake, pulled the hose, there is the spiral piece. On the wrong side I am assuming? Anyway put a new plastic bit into the passenger side cover and replaced both hoses. Can you guys confirm it was indeed in the wrong the side?

Noticed a thin film of oil by passenger side rear spark plug. Pulled the plug, and there was a small amount of oil sitting in the recess for the plug? Any idea? All other plug recesses are dry. I am not smelling any burning oil from the exhaust.

Thank you for the help.

The passenger side rear spark plug is a bit of a bastard if you are not careful. The exhaust manifold will often prevent some plug sockets from getting fully on the plug and the plug can be cross threaded or not fully seated.

To the best of my knowledge you are correct about the PCV. Only on the passenger side valve cover. (at least on my '97)

check the valve cover bolts.....I had one loosen up and leak and the oil ran down the head towards the plugs
