Default What is a good spark plug and plug wire kit for Disco 97?

I am fixing to buy some and plugs and wires for my Disco 97 SE-7 V-8. What is a good spark plug (recommended) and good plug wires (recommended) for the vehicle. Any suggestions or websites where I can find a good deal. Thank you,

I am interested in hearing thoughts as well...

However, I bought two sets of NAPA 8mm wires for my boat (Twin Chevys) and they are very nice for the money ($35). I was just planning on going with those.

Unless I hear strong thoughts otherwise, I was just panning on going with some quality Autolite Copper Core plugs. They are about $2.50 at Wally World.

Don't waste your $$$ on expensive plugs. The Autolites are just fine. I WOULD spend the extra $$ on wires. I got the 8mm wires, and a new set of looms. Due to high heat and stronger spark, the cheaper and non-silicon wires wear out a LOT faster, and then cause mis-fire issues, can cause weird O2 sensor CEL's and really confuse things.
Good luck!

Back in the days when these engines were "new" (the 1960's), Champion used to advertise for enthusiats (week end drag racers) to go half with a friend on a whole case of plugs. The idea that you could go 200K on one of these engines with original plugs would be the wrong idea. Cheap plugs and frequent changes will get it done.

At least it is not like a Montero Sport, have to remove the whole intake to change plugs...

The Kingsbourne, Magnecor, and STI cables seem to be the popular ones.

Right now, Advanced Auto has the Champion Copper for a little over a buck each.

I put those in last time and had to pay 2 bucks each for them, they do fine.

Need wires myself, leaning toward the NGK wires after seeing their site and price, but let me take a minute and review the Kingsborne before I jump.

I looked at the Kingsborne and with the shipping plus 15 more for the larger wire holders to hold 8mm it comes to twice as much as the NGK's. They have free shipping. I like the technical data provided by NGK and could not find any specs on the Kingsborne or warranty info if any.

Looks like the NGK's win the comparison.

Whatever plug is cheapest, Champion, Autolite, AC, NGK, etc.
I've been using Kingsborne for about 25 years or so and like them. I've tried others, like Magnacore, but come back to Kingsborne.
