Plastic cover touches radiator belt after changing engine mounts
Hi folks,
me and my flatmate recently bought a land rover discovery (1994) and had to change the engine mounts to pass the road worthy certificate (Australia). Therefore we released the 4 engine mount bolts by using a jack to lift the engine until we could release the old mounts, put the new ones in and lowered the engine back in position. Everything worked fine but now the plastic cover for the fan belt touches the belt (see attached picture). I'm a little bit worried that we somehow deformed something which causes the engine not to be in its supposed position.
Any ideas from your side what could have went wrong? I'm not very experienced in repairing cars (to be honest it was the first time for me...) so I would appreciate any feedback!
