I have red "Prothane" bushes all round on my "other make" 4x4 and whilst they are supposedly harsher than the standard bushes, they are a damned sight better than worn out rubber bushes. No regrets

I put the reds in mine. The ride is taut, but that is the way I want it. It also may be due to the fact the I am running BFG AT-KOs at 75 psi.

Be careful with the harbor freight press, I bought one and used it to do the job but also bore bruises for three weeks afterwards. That thing loads up like a compound bow, you should be very careful if that is the route you are going to take. I took an impact socket to the chest and man I'm telling you that really hurt.

As far as grease goes, I put handfuls of never seize on the bushings because I was worried that they were going to squeak. Eight months later bushings are good and nary a squeak to be heard.

Best of luck with whatever you decide to put in.

I used my 20 ton hf press, older model, you also need the ball joint master adapter kit they sell, we had no injuriesbut a few did take the full force then popped
