I agree. That's how I got my 96. PO wanted 1500....i offered 500....waited and eventually ended up at 900.
Depends on what the overheating issue is.
The no power under acceleration is a bad VSS.
Start at $500 but buy it for under $1000.
Replace the VSS.
If it only over heats at idle then replace the fan clutch, thats $50.
Then go from there.
