Default Power Loss 95 Disco I

So I'm driving to work this morning in my '95 Disco I, doing about 65mph down the freeway, and suddenly the truck starts lurching like it was doing a really bad gearshift and when I press down on the gas pedal there is no response. No check engine light, no dashboard warnings, just a total loss of power and the RPM's started to wind down like they would if you were decelerating, not immediate like a stall.
I got onto the shoulder and the truck got down to about 35mph and then it caught again and was running fine. I got off the highway and about a mile down the road it lurched again like a bad gearshift and stalled completely. I was unable to start it for about 5 minutes, then it fired right up and I was able to drive the last 1/2 mile or so to the office.
No overtemp, gas is a little under a 1/4 of a tank, no funky smells, nothing leaking out of the bottom... any ideas?
I'm right on the verge of throwing in the towel on this truck. It doesn't even have 150k miles on it but the last year or so it has been a cascading series of issues!

Sounds like mine when the fuel pump harness connections were bad.
Check the pins on the top of the fuel pump and the plugs in the drivers side wheel well.

Take a pic of what you need. Next time I'm in the junk yard I'll get it.
