Default power seat pin out diagram

does anybody have a pin out diagram for the seat controls? Both of my tilt switches seem to be bad and I need to make the seat tilt back. I assume I can just jump out the pins if I can find out which ones I need to jump out.

they are reverse polarity on the motors,if you unplug the harness from the back each pin is numbered, you then have to apply either power to one side of the motor and ground to the other (or the other way around depending on the way you want the motor to turn) you will have to determine which plug is which but they pretty much line up with the buttons so if you think about the bottom part control it will be the horizontal plug and the recline control will be the vertical plug, anyways drivers side is as follows: seat forward put jumpers between pins 2/3 and 4/1. for seat reverse 2/4 and 3/1. for front of seat raise 6/3 and 5/4. for front of seat lower 5/3 and 6/4.

for the other plug (raise/lower back and recline) I would have to look at because the schematic shows different pin out numbers, if you need a more detailed explanation for a specific movement of a specific seat let me know and I will try to help

this should be the plug that the wires come straight out of the end, and sits vertically on the switch. basically the two pins that attach to the recline motor are pins 1 and 2, and the pins that provide the power are 3 and 4 (these should be the 2 larger pins), so basically a jumper between pins 1 and 3 at the same time as 2 and 4 will cause the back of the seat to either move up or down (if it is the wrong direction switch them to 1 and 4 as well as 2 and 3) and if the front of the seat moves up or down then you have the wrong plug. I should point out that I am saying pins but in actuality the pins are on the switch and the plug only has holes where the pins go.

I hope this helps.

after review pin 3 is empty, this would be a ground but the switch shares it from the larger plug. I would just use a larger jumper and run it to pin 4 on the big plug then connect the other end to pin 2 on the small plug and at the same time short a jumper between pin 4 and pin 1 on the small plug, this should recline the seat.

I have taken my seat switch apart twice now (which I assured myself would not happen again after the first time) I am currently kicking ideas around to replace (or figure out a way to permanently repair) my non working switch, I was thinking about just building a switch plate with 4 - 2 position switches however to allow for reversing polarity I would need 2 relays per switch for a grand total of 16 (yes 16 if I did both sides) relays sitting between the 2 switches! so maybe just a how to with screws and glue on "how to permanently repair the switch" for starters, then if that fails, I will do a "how to make a less expensive replacement".

I was able to find Mercedes switches for less money, and they fit just like OEM with minor adjustments.

I heard some folks detach the mechanical cables from the motor and simply connect a drill to the cable they want to adjust, then leave it there.
