Default Power seats

My Disco does not have power seats but there is not much room between the front edge of the seat and the bottom of the steering wheel. Does the power seats have more room? can I use the 'box' that goes under the power seat in place of the one under my manual seats and get a bit more room? I could drop it a good 2-4 inches and be completely happy. Otherwise I will be building a custom mount this summer.

My eye level is just about even with the top edge of the windshield unless I recline the seats a bit. I still end up tilting my head if I am the first in line at a stop light.

This doesn't help your sight issue, but just checking. Have you adjusted the tilt on the steering wheel?

I have a manual seat model 96 and a power seat model 96. The power seats sit higher in my opinion.

With the steering wheel tilt down, I can't even get into the seat. It would be nice if it tilted a bit higher too...
