Well, the moment has come that my power steering has started to act up more and more. It was making a lot of noises of whining when i turned the wheel. Now, when i turn left my power steering is near gone and it is so hard to turn the wheel. When i turn right its a little easier but still not smooth as when i got it a few months ago. I check the fluid of my power steering and it is perfectly good. What do you guys recommend to check next? It is a 96 disco with 209k miles. Thanks for any info!!

What fluid is in the res? Should be ATF. If you have leaking lines it's time to replace. Leaking box can be rebuilt with some success. I've rebuilt DII ps pumps with 100% success (they exhibit same symptoms) so if someone can find the gasket/seal kit for a D1 I'm sure it would work. Just a FYI, anytime you can snag an extra alternator, starter, fuel pump and ps pump to keep on a shelf. First three will strand you and can be expensive in a pinch and the last is good to have and not readily available anywhere. That's if you plan on keeping the truck for a few years. With over 200k you should be rolling through it to tighten it back up. There are reliable used part vendors (Paul Grant, Will Tillery) that can get you what you need.
