thanks for the follow and please do let us know how the re-seal goes. Historically they have been hit or miss. Eventually I will need to do the same. Already have a box in the parts closet but haven't gotten to the point where it is a necessity.

Thumbs up Replacing steering house and PAS-hoses

Hello !

My Disco 300tdi man. (1998) was also loosing little by little PAS-fluid. So my garagist replaced some hoses because they had become very brittle after 23 years (the oil pressed out through their skin).
But, the pression building up again as normal, the steering house itself began to leek seriously ! So my garagist replaced also the steering house.
But the new steering house began itself leaking seriously.
Finally the garagist replaced the new steering house (pieces, materials and working hours all under guaranty -what a chance !
Now, my PAS works again very well : no leaks more, no heavy steering anymore and no more creamy sounds when turning the
