Default Programer Help

So I purchased a LYNX programmer and decided to program a remote for my truck. I was able to complete this and lock and unlock my doors. After turning my key to the on position I noticed the check engine light was not on like before. I did not think much about this until I tried to start my truck and it would not start. I turns over but will not catch.

Is there some thing I can do to fix this or have I just created new yard art for myself?

it's probably because the immobilizer didn't get reprogrammed. Did you contact the company that makes the reprogramer. BTW I thought you didn't need a reprogramer to pair up a new remote.

I'm waiting on a reply from them. If you have a 96' or newer and have a 2 button remote you have to use one.

I got these 2 codes:
P1621 Communications with the security ECM has not happened within the expected time
P1622 3 non-identical or 2 identical wrong security codes received by ECM in sequence

I have a spare ECM and Alarm box (green AMR 4885). I put them in and it fired right up, so i believe it was the programming of the fob.

Oh wow that's super strange are you going to try to program a key to the truck with the new alarm box or not because something might go wrong again. Maybe the obd connector came lose or something during programing the first time. Defiantly not a good experience for a high quality vehicle specific tool tho.

the key fob locked and unlocked the doors just fine after just would not start. I don't know of a way to go back to the original config or undo what the programmer did nor does the software have that feature.

wow that's super strange hopefully Brit part has a solution, to pair the key without frying your immobilizer. But to be honest I'm interested in what went wrong with the programing and how to fix it. So I will continue to research it.
