a few of the nuts for the prop shaft got chewed up, is that somethin I could grab stainless ones from ace?

I could probably re-use the ones I got, but I don't want to put myself at a disadvantage for the next repair job

NO. Get Grade 8 Nylocks. I have a few on hand. Otherwise just buy a bag from McMaster-Carr and replace all of them.

Curse of the gaiter.. rofl

Option 1: Spec for 1997 disco 1..

Gaiter - Front Prop. Shaft (276483 Same Fit As Part # 276484) - Land Rover prop shafts from Atlantic British

Option 2: Spec for 1999< Disco 2

Gaiter Propshaft (Part # TVE100000) - Land Rover prop shafts from Atlantic British

I have what appears to be an original prop shaft... Single u-joint on the front diff.. The gaiter I had on there appeared to be #2, but everywhere I look I see #1.

Question is this... Was there a change to the design to prefer the accordian style vs the donut?

And ultimately which should I use........

I reached out to Rovahfarm and atlantic british and have yet to receive a response so i figured i'd try here..

I'm getting to the final steps of this project and looking forward to getting it back on the road, would be frustrating to have somethin like this holding me up..

Thanks!
