The proper Search & Rescue truck
I'm new to the forum, but not new to Rovers. I bought this Disco a year ago because it met my requirements. I needed something I could take 7 people and gear anywhere. Besides a D110 this was the best option. It is truly an amazing truck. It has a 2 inch lift, bigger tyres and that's it. It now has the Tactical Rovers front bumper. Damn impressive though.

Might consider "alley lights", Ultra gauge (better temp monitoring and alarms for when things get above where you want, plus it is a code scanner), and perhaps a 180 thrmostat since you probably do a lot of slow moving high RPM work, and extended idle when functioning as incident command. Also you can fit a heavy duty fan clutch and even a larger fan for even more air at slow speeds / high RPM. My fan and clutch from 01 Blazer (same six inch clutch, reverse rotation, and screws right to our water pumps).

I like that idea. I will say, I haven't had any over heating issue since I put a new fan clutch on. I didn't know about the Blazer modification. I have alley light, just not enough time to install them yet. It sounds like you've had some ICS training?

Nice truck Borg! Savannah, could you post a better pic of your center dash please? My D1 looks like Borg's, but yours is way different. I would like to compare them. And is there really tat much of a difference between a 96 and a 97?

Not my dash, just a good pix of the Ultra Gauge in a D2. The other one I have is from Spike's truck, and people think he is holding out on us because the MPG reading is 1300 miles per gallon....

We just got a foot of snow here and as the fellow owners know, these are the best in the snow. I've been to the top of Pikes Peak in the winter at -30 without any issues. The back door is a Columbia Outfitters piece that I modified. I need a spot to hold everything and I also has "tables" that snap into place so we can sort gear back there.
