Mid-grade meaning mid-priced.
I wouldn't run anything drilled/slotted on the D1. You can upgrade to D90 calipers and run vented rotors but the vent will get packed full of mud in no time. The best upgrade IMO is getting D110 calipers and running the solid D1 rotors with regular pads.

That is where i am confused.
Define mid-grade rotor? Which brand/make? Solid piece or vented?

Rotors are pooched on the 99. Deep grooves and lots of corrosion... and no idea of when they were last replaced with 200,000 km on the odometer. Figured I'd start fresh with new rotors and brakes
