quick question - oil sep - nipple up or down

Default quick question - oil sep - nipple up or down
My disco was missing the oil seperator. Just got a new one and not sure if it goes in with the nipple end up or down.... one end is flat of course....

The flat side goes in first. At least thats how both of mine are.

I put mine in just a minute ago flat side down. I figured the nipple was just so pliers could yank it out. My original had a nipple on either side.

Its always better when the nipples are pointing up.
