Default Rear bumper build Qs

I'm getting on with the rebuild of the rear end of my Disco and have started to think about the need for a decent rear bumper and think I'll fabricobble my own together.

Main question is about my plan to incorporate a swing away spare wheel carrier.

I've seen trailer spindles used in other J**P builds and wondered if anyone round here has made their own bumper with spare wheel carrier?

Pictures would be very welcome.

There have been a few made over the years and posted on here. I would hit your favorite search engine there is some DIY swing away kits that include the spindle bearings etc.

I like the weight relieving castor to take the weight off the spindle, I was reading an article about trailer spindle failures from the weight of the spare hanging off them and them failing from fatigue over time.

I like the way you built the parallelogram, you've given me some great ideas to take on board, thanks.
