Default Rear defroster

I can't figure out why my rear defroster isn't working. I have power on the passenger terminals on the back glass but not on the driver side. I have power at the switch but yet it doesn't light up. When I press it I can hear a click coming from the fuse panel area. I've checked for pinched wires but can't find any.

Could be a bad switch. If you have someone hold it down do you get power at the defroster? I think my D1 behaved like that. The light would only come on while holding the button in.

They light don't come on if held down. Should there be power to the terminals on both sides of the back glass?

After buying my second new switch the defroster button lights up. I guess just because you buy a "working" part doesn't always mean your getting working part.

Good deal. Does the defroster work now too?

The contacts in the switch probably just need to be clean. Open the switches up, clean the contacts, and you'll have three working switches.

I haven't thought about that I'll see if I can figure out how to pull it apart without tearing it up. Thanks good idea
