Default Rear door locks go up, but not all the way

When I unlock the doors on my '99 DI, the front door locks go up and you can open the doors normally. However, both of the rear door locks go up partially, but the door won't open with the outside lever. You have to reach in and pull it up, and then it will open.

Is that an actuator problem, or a central lock issue?
Thanks,
Pete

Actuator. Either lube or just worn out. I have one that does that, and I have run out of time to tinker with it.

Ha Sava, you could fix that in the time it takes for you to do a post on belt routing.

Actually you might be able to adjust your actuator. When I fixed my window problem in the past (rollers were broken) I removed the little black actuator by unscrewing two screws. When I had reinstalled everything I had that exact same problem. I had screwed the black box too far downward and all I had to do was unscrew the two screws shift it up or down as needed and it was fixed.

Thanks guys! I'll try the fixes first and move on to replacement if necessary. Caleb, if I can get a couple more things fixed on this thing, you might see it roll past Tupelo on it's way to Starkville for 2nd semester.

If you roll into Tupelo give me a holler! I'll PM you my number! And I might be going to Starkville my freshman year of college so we might be seeing more of each other!

It could also be weak springs in the latch mechanism.

When you get it fully diagnosed let me know. I have boxes of good, tested actuators and latch assemblies available for sale.

I had an issue with my door locks where the driver's door locked when I accidentally leaned on the latch, all the doors automatically locked and the driver's door would not unlock no matter what I did. Pulling up with pliers would not work, reaching out the window and trying to unlock with key would not work, nothing.

The next day I sprayed all the linkages with PB50 spray lub and no more issues with the locks. Try it, if that fails, call Paul Grant.
