Redeeming myself after losing my muffler
This was in jacksonville, nc. That guy that you hear talking is from Tennessee, lol
Tell me about it. I've never paid more than 2k for any of mine. The 97 I'm working on right now was a grand even, with band new Michelins, great body and a perfect int. (showroom quality) I was going to get it as a parts truck, then the damn thing started.
Has to be the funniest buy I have ever made. Saw it sitting in Walmart... for about 7 months. finally marked the tires and 2 weeks later checked and it had not moved, so I left a note on it. Guy called me about 2 weeks after that and I bought it. met him at it and got the title etc, course it was totally dead, so it was a buy without driving or even running it. He said it had died on him and he had never gotten around to having it towed home... (Chattanooga to Atlanta).
I went over to it the next day with a new battery and 5 gallons of fresh gas. hooked it up, poured in the gas, and it literally fired up on the first crank. So I drove it home.
Since I have gotten it home, I've put new headers on it, repaired the dash curl, replaced the headliner, fixed the sunroofs, new thermostat, full flush of the cooling system, replaced the valley pan gasket and the rocker cover gaskets, new vacuum lines, hoses, completely detailed it top and bottom including engine, This week I'm putting on the new exhaust, then next week the new 2 inch lift (shocks and springs) and a new set of tires. (the set on it are going on my daily driver) And I still have yet to actually really drive it!. All in all with all the repairs and upgrades I'll have a total of 2300 bucks in it. (try finding a decent jeep around here for that)
