If your that worried about the wear and tear on the starting and idling to warm up, put in a prelube setup that would bring the oil to pressure BEFORE you start the engine. It would save the startup wear and tear regardless of the engine being started in the warm or cold... Most of the engine wear comes at startup when your oil has drained away and the "buffer" it normally creates is thin or gone. There are lot's of these systems on the market just google them.
Something like this.... which I just found by googling but have no other info etc about them, just providing the link as an example. but for 250 bucks seems like cheap insurance.
