Replacement shock opinion
Hi all,
Replacing the shocks on my 1997 Discovery 1. They're completely shot. This will be a daily driver. Zero off roading.
I was originally going to get these: https://www.roversnorth.com/parts/rn...overy_i&type=3
Maybe they're overkill for what I need?
Then I found these: https://www.shocksurplus.com/product...covery-4wd-awd
Maybe they're all I need, what do you guys think? Open for other suggestions! thanks!

If you're not off-roading, I'd go with the cheaper Bilstein OE replacements...they would probably give you a softer ride on the road.
OK Great, that's what I was thinking. Can't wait to get them on.
I went with the Bilstein 4600 series and I love them. I bought them about 3 years ago on Amazon before the prices went a bit nuts. You can source these from the UK at better prices.
4600 Series
Front - Bilstein 24-188296
Rear - Bilstein 24-027793
Steering Damper - Bilstein 24-188272

Your Disco only has 90k miles? Wow! I bought mine in 2014 with 184k on it and hit 258k this week.
Indy was a pitchy, rocky ride until the shocks were replaced.

I replaced mine (3rd set) with the Terrafirma. Rides fine. The ones I replaced (2nd set) were Monroe OEM equivalent , maybe 10k on them but 15 years old.
