Replacing blower switch
Periodically my blower switch goes off on setting 4 - assume its worn - you can wiggle it a bit and it goes right back on - settings 1,2,3 never have a problem - might think about replacing it - is it pretty straight forward or does half the dash have to come out ?
Of course they don't make them any more, if you find a D1 with rear air, the switch for the rear air is the same and they don't get used much. The fan draws about 40-50 amps on high so it is tough on the switch. Most newer style switches can't handle it, and you will need some beefy wire so it doesn't heat up. never hurts to have a spare one on hand as they are hard to find, and cleaning them can get complicated if the fly apart or melt. Lots of springs and contacts in there.

It's a real PITA. I replaced my switch a while back with a used rear a/c control switch, but that one is also getting wonky.
I have a complete control panel I pulled from a junker, but the center panel is so brittle that a lot of it has broken away and is cracked. I need to source a replacement panel at some point and get that "new" panel in there.

LR making something simple ridiculous - why would they do that ? LOL
I hear LR didn't higher the brightest engineers - well maybe they did - keep the production cost down and charge the customers an arm and a leg in dealer service when you have to take half the car apart to change a light bulb
